Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 did a brisk business in the opening weekend bagging around 50.8 crores. However, it had to suffer a decline in the second week as it clashed with the action format remake of 1994 film 'The Lion King'. The total collection of the movie by the end of day 12 was 104.18 crore.
The review rating of the movie ranges from 2/5 (NDTV) to 3.5/5 (ToI). As we know it is a biopic of an ace mathematics teacher from Bihar who triumphs over the challenges and runs coaching for poor deserving students. The USP of the movie is its depiction of the fact that how poverty could be back-breaking while treading the untrodden. It hinders your dream for others (Anand's dream for his students, who belong to the rejected section of the society). When you are determined to fight such odds with vigour, you ought to win, as the protagonist says "...ab raja wahi banta hai jo haqdaar hai."
It is an extraordinarily inspiring story which every struggling person should watch, not for the drama but for the theme. Besides, Hrithik's sublime performance as an endeavoring underdog is worth mentioning. Pankaj Tripathi has delivered the role of a corrupt minister with perfection as usual.
Talking about the cons, HRK's oscillating lingo, dramatized scenes, better edits and typing biopic narration may bring it to a mediocre range.
